Hi all.  It is gonna be a lovely Wednesday here. In the 80's again! 

I discovered yesterday that I have lost my ID card (military ID).  Last I remember having it was at the Dr (they make a copy each time for ins.).  But I called them and it's not there.  SOOO, today I go get a new one.  That's really OK, since the picture on the old one was 90 pounds ago.  I may also call the DMV and tell them I lost my license and get that picture updated, too.

When we moved to NC, after 23 years in OR we had a HUGE garage sale.  I presided over the stuff for sale in the barn, my husband presided over the stuff in the house.  At the end of the 3 days we had lots of money, despite us each saying "You only got that amount for my ________?"  Sometimes we get too attached to our stuff!

Went to the support group last night, I remember again why I don't go but every 5 or 6 months...
Tom and I usually have a fun dinner of cheese, wine, a little bread.. and watch the debates but tonight we are going to miss them....whaaaa whaaa...we had signed up for this thing at church where you and 3 other couples meet once a month at one of your homes for dinner, it's to get to know each other better, pretty fun but NOT TONIGHT! Oh, well, I know we can catch it some other time and station but it was a fun thing to do together...
I had to bake an apple pie, I inherited the wonderful pie crust making gene from my mom....
Annette, I sure wish I could go to one of your support group meetings...sigh...
Well, I need to get up to the old treadmill...then shower, do hair and get dressed and get to work....
I am so glad you are all here....all of you...
Thanks for the pics Eileen...I bet I would recognize you all if I saw you at the mall or grocery store!

Good Morning ,
   Well it's life as normal here ..... John went back to work this morning , I have a board meeting at the museum today and my house looks like it's been turned upside down... our 18 days vacation had to end and all must resume it's normal pace .... we had a great time though , the car ran well & gave us no trouble. We averaged 25 mpg. on our 4000 mile trip. Highest gas was 3.89 (NY) and the lowest was 2.98(MI).
   I uploaded all my photos(287) but haven't had the time or oompah to edit them yet. I'll get at them soon.
   It was brought to my attention  that we have let the birthdays sorta get shuffled under the carpet ..... well I propose to make a weekly listing of birthdays - in a separate posting of course .... so we can all keep up with our friends and family's special days.
   My experience in Frankenmuth was as all the rest- terrific  and too short.... it was wonderful to see some of those we'd met before and to finally get to meet and hug and get to know some I hadn't .
   I feel as though I'm so very far behind in everyones posts / lives I'll be forever trying to get caught up... forgive me if I mess up ?
  OK, so now what's new with me .... not a lot, I was scared to get on the scale when we got home.... vacation eating ya know..... well I'd actually lost a lb and John had lost 3....well.. whaddya know ...! who'd a thunk it !.

Margo, I know you're disappointed but a better job is on the way.  Don't stop looking for it.

I leave tomorrow morning for Fresno and surgery.  What an inspiration to get things done this has been, including getting rid of and organizing stuff.  Interesting that we find so much to relate to in fellow OFFers lives.

Haven't had time to get really nervous or excited but last night I started to believe that it was really going to happen.  I'll be looking for all the angels you can send Friday morning, 7:30 west coast time.  You all have been such a blessing.  Can't wait to let you know that I made it through with flying colors.

linda just wanted to let you know i will be thinking of you on your surgery day friday!!!! we will have the same date but 2 years apart....keep calm and rememebr to pack the chap stick and also sip sip sip and walk walk walk!!!! wishing you a speedy recovery and can't wait to hear how you are doing!!!! its will be a wild ride so hang on tight!!!!!!!!

its a overcast morning here and 10 degrees cooler than yesterday at this time...cold front moving in now and also the rain will be here....sighs...full moon last night was awesome to see!!!! harvest moon they said...

last night we finally got the snowblower out of the storage unit and its now empty!!! yippeeeee!!!!!!! stopped over to see the friends in the trailer park...nice to see them again!!! seems like forever that we last saw them...brian is getting married to pam that also lives in the park...her trailer will be going up for sale in the next year...asked if we were interested...hell yeah!!!! but we are under lease til end of september next year...they said no problem...soooo we might be buying her trailer....i would love to live there!!! its like the tv show CHEERS its like everybody knows your name...plus the price is right!!! she only wants 5 grand for it!!! woohooo!!!

well i got another disappointment yesterday....my friend erie at work said he wanted to come do the computer after work instead of today and he left work and never showed up to come do my computer....guess it will never get online soon!!!! came home and told rick i didn't give a dam anymore about the pc getting hooked up and i might as well toss it in the trash...he gave me a hug and said we would go to the store and ask someone what we needed to get it hooked up...so we did that and i don't have an extra 120.00 bucks right now..so **** on it!!!!! i have ricks pc and i can get to you all here when i need to so the hell with mine!!!

diane stopped over to bring me my mail that came to the house...she asked me if we were doing anything for ricks birthday...i told her we were going out for dinner then i had a cake for later...she asked if we were doing this friday or saturday...i said friday its his birthday that day...she said oh...well i have to go to joes friday....(other son) soooo guess you now know where rick stands huh....joe is more important than rick...oh well...no loss on our part...she then asked what we were doing saturday...i told her WE were going to this place where its all amish to look around...i think its middlebrook?? she said it was a neat place to go to...was waitng for her to say she wanted to go but she didn't and i didn't ask...mean aren't i??? i don't think so...lol just want it to be me and rick!!! i am sure if i told her we were going to texas roadhouse for dinner friday night she would be there...but nope i didn't mention it because i DON"T want her there!!! not in the mood for her tales of no money for bills and jerry who is i am sure fired from his job yet once more....why she keeps with him is beyond me...she did say he took money out of the bank and is now 60 bucks short on the 300 she needs by friday...i told her long ago to put the money in an account he can't get into but she doesn't listen!!!! like i said i am not interested in having her around to hear over and over how they have no money to pay the bills....not OUR fault!!!!! ok enough of this as i am sure you are all tired of hearing about it....sorry for going on and on about it!!

need a haircut big time!!! rick wants it to grow out but i hate it!!! its looks so straggly and there is no poof to it at all...just lays limp and ugly looking when it is getting longer...not sure i want to keep this darker color either...need to go a tad lighter i think. sighs the peril of looking good...lol

i mentioned to the friends at the trailer park about coming over for some cake friday night...rick said he thinks it would be cool to have a mark martin cake...OMG!!!!!! how does he know that this is what his cake is gonna be??????? is he psychic??? LOL need to get his gifts out of the car today and wrapped while he is at work...LOL he is still looking for them....i will not give him my car keys...lol gifts are in the trunk right now...LOL

well better go check to see if i can use the washer and dryer this morning...need some clean undies soon....sorry TMI lol

Hi All,
Back from negotiations in Madison. I "flew" back home last nite to be able to see all the debate on TV and then once I was comfy in my pj's on my sofa with some watermelon, I realized the debate isn't until tonite. I swear sometimes I have "part-timers". It was a strenuous 2 days of negotiations. It's horrible to realize that a humanitarian organization can treat it's employees so inhumanely. We are not giving up tho...have 2 more wks to go before we strike. It looks as tho it'll come to that the way things are going...then I can share with you all. The public will be very interested in hearing what is going on.
Gotta go call my clinic again to push for my surgery.
